NEW LICENSEE AND VERIFICATION PORTAL!

Tue, 02/21/2023 - 00:00

We have created a LARS tab across the main page header for detailed information regarding the new LARS portal. Please be sure to see the information regarding step-by-step instructions on logging in, using the system, printing your certificate, and making payments online. Inside of the portal, there is a HELP tab that will take you to the same instruction page.

The Online Renewal Window opens March 1st for April Renewals and August 1st for September Renewals. If you try to renew your license before these dates, the system will give you a message that 'No license are available to be renewed'. Please try back after the open date.

ALL LICENSEES ARE ABLE TO RENEW ONLINE, INCLUDING FIRST TIME RENEWALS.

The new renewal portal will allow you to enter your continuing education throughout the year. You will need to go to CE Compliance first and enter all of your continuing education. LARS will store all of your CE entries and save them. Once it is time for you to renew, you can submit the renewal, pay the fee, and print your certificate and card online. We will no longer mail cards and certificates. It will be accessible in your account online. Your certificate will update online each renewal period just as your card will.

STEPS TO RENEWING ONLINE

1. AFTER YOU LOG INTO THE PORTAL, YOU MUST GO TO CE COMPLIANCE FIRST TO ENTER YOUR HOURS. DO NOT CLICK THE RENEW TAB TO RENEW YOUR LICENSE UNTIL YOU ENTER YOUR HOURS INTO CE COMPLIANCE.
2. AFTER YOU HAVE ENTERED YOUR HOURS IN CE COMPLIANCE, CLICK ON THE RENEW LICENSE TAB TO RENEW YOUR LICENSE AND PAY.

FIRST TIME RENEWALS: IF YOU ARE RENEWING YOUR LICENSE FOR THE FIRST TIME AND ARE NOT ENTERING HOURS, YOU CAN GO STRAIGHT TO RENEW LICENSE. With LARS, all licensees are now able to renew, even if this is your first renewal. Unfortunately, if this is your first renewal and you have no hours to submit, LARS will put you on probation. Please, please, please do not panic. Simply send an email to info@swmft.ms.gov notifying us that you are on probation and we will remove it right away.

How CE Compliance Works
Did you try to renew your license and for some reason LARS is saying you are not CE Compliant? Fear not! The system has updated your renewal period to the next renewal cycle and you will be showing non-compliant.

If you are short any continuing education hours, you can still renew in LARS. You will be placed on probation and you will have 12 months to add your hours to be CE Compliance.

Renewing Late:  If you renew after the renewal deadline but are within 30 days, you will be able to renew in LARS and pay an additional late fee. After the 30-day window for renewing late, you will have to reinstate. All late renewals are required to renew through LARS. Please do not mail it in; it will be returned back to you.
