COVID Emergency Permits Expiration Date

UPDATE!!

On November 11, 2021, Governor Tate Reeves announced that he would not extend the Mississippi’s COVID-19 State of Emergency. It is set to expire on November 20, 2021. This means that ALL emergency permits issued due to COVID-19 will also expire on November 20, 2021. As previously stated, we encourage you to apply for Reciprocity to obtain full licensure in order to continue seeing your clients.

Governor Tate Reeves announced Monday, October 11, 2021, the State of Emergency will be extended for 30 more days. We still encourage you to apply for Reciprocity to obtain full licensure if you have not done so in the event that when the proclamation does expire, you will be able to continue seeing your clients. 

Governor Tate Reeves has extended the State of Emergency Order that was initially set to expire this week.  He announced Friday, September 10, 2021, the State of Emergency will be extended for 30 more days. It was initially set to expire on Aug. 15, then extended for 30 days to expire September 15. We still encourage you to apply for Reciprocity to obtain full licensure if you have not done so in the event that when the proclamation does expire, you will be able to continue seeing your clients.

Governor Tate Reeves announced that the end of the COVID-19 State of Emergency in Mississippi will end at 11:59 p.m. on August 15, 2021. All emergency permits issued for Mississippi will also expire at that time and will no longer be valid. We encourage licensees from out of state who were approved for the emergency permit to apply by reciprocity if you still have clients residing in Mississippi.
